AppIn Search for WooCommerce — Service Terms
Last updated: July 10, 2026
1. What this document is
This is a product schedule for AppIn Search for WooCommerce — the WooCommerce plugin and the AppIn cloud service it connects to. It supplements and incorporates:
- the Terms of Service — the master agreement between you and ISAP OÜ;
- the Privacy Policy; and
- the Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which prevails on data-protection matters.
On matters specific to the WooCommerce product, this schedule prevails; on everything else — accounts, billing mechanics, acceptable use, warranties, liability, governing law — the master Terms govern.
2. The plugin is open source (GPL)
The AppIn Search plugin is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPLv2+). The GPL — not this document — governs your use, modification, and redistribution of the plugin code. Nothing here restricts your GPL rights.
This schedule governs only your use of the AppIn cloud service the plugin connects to — the API, indexing, semantic search, widgets, and dashboard. The plugin is a thin client; all AI, indexing, and search run in the AppIn cloud.

3. What the plugin sends to AppIn
The plugin communicates with the AppIn service in the following ways:
- Catalog sync — when a product is created, updated, or its stock changes, and during Bulk Sync, product data is sent to api.app-in.io using your secret API key: title, description, price, currency, image URL, stock status, SKU, categories, tags, rating, review count, brand, and attributes.
- Deletions — when a product is trashed or unpublished, a delete request with the product ID is sent so it is removed from the index.
- Widget delivery — on storefront page load, the search widget JavaScript is fetched from cdn.app-in.io; the visitor's browser transmits standard HTTP metadata (IP address, user agent, referrer).
- Shopper searches — when a shopper searches, the query text and your Public Key are sent to the API, and ranked results are returned.
- In-plugin registration — if you register from inside the plugin, the store admin's email, store name, store URL, and admin language are sent to create your account, and a one-time verification code is emailed to you.
No shopper personal data is sent by design — only catalog data, search query text, and standard HTTP metadata. You must not configure the plugin or your catalog to submit personal data beyond this. You are responsible for updating your store's own privacy notice to disclose your use of AppIn.
4. Your responsibilities as a store owner
- You have the necessary rights to the catalog content you sync to the service.
- You maintain your own privacy notice disclosing your use of AppIn (see Section 3).
- You keep your secret API key (
sk_live_...) confidential and server-side only. The Public Key (pk_live_...) is a site identifier and is safe to expose in the browser. - The free trial is available once per account and covers one store; additional stores run on Pro. Re-registration or multi-account schemes to obtain extra trials are prohibited under the master Terms.
5. Trial, pricing & founding cohort
Free trial
While our founding programme is open, your first Site gets the full Pro feature set free for 2 months — no credit card required, no automatic charge. We may close the programme to new sign-ups with notice; this affects new registrations only, and a trial already under way runs its full term. Once the programme is closed, new Sites start on the Free plan instead. At trial end the Site moves to the Free plan — search and indexing keep working on the Free plan's lower monthly request allowance, and nothing is deleted. Subscribe anytime to restore full Pro quotas. You can also claim the founding trial by connecting the plugin to a store you registered, within three (3) business days of creating your account.
Pricing
- Pro — €49 / $49 / CHF 49 per month, covering up to 3 Sites per subscription.
- 4+ Sites: Enterprise, custom terms — contact us.
- Customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein are billed in Swiss francs (CHF); other customers in the EU and EEA in euros (€); all other customers in US dollars ($).
- Referral: refer another store, and when it converts to a paid subscription after its trial you receive 1 additional free month.
Billing runs monthly in advance via Revolut, as described in the master Terms.
Founding WooCommerce cohort
Stores in the founding WooCommerce cohort receive full Pro quotas at €0 on one store for the two-month trial described in section 5, after which that Site moves to the Free plan unless a paid plan has been started. We may close the founding programme to new stores with notice; a trial already under way runs its full term.
6. Quotas
Pro quotas (per subscription):
- 100,000 API requests per month
- 50,000 indexed records
- 10,000,000 AppIn LLM tokens per month
- 180 requests per minute
No silent overage. We never apply surprise charges. If your usage approaches or exceeds these quotas, we will aim to contact you about an Enterprise plan. We may throttle or rate-limit to protect the platform — including immediate throttling of abnormal spikes — and will notify you promptly afterward.
7. Beta status & support
The service is in public beta, provided as described in the master Terms ("as is", no SLA or uptime guarantee).
Support channels: [email protected] and GitHub Issues for the plugin. We target a response within 8 business hours, Monday–Friday 09:00–18:00 CET. This is a service target, not a contractual SLA.
8. Uninstalling & data
Deactivating or uninstalling the plugin stops all syncing from your store. Your indexed data remains in the AppIn service until you delete the Site in the dashboard, request deletion, or the retention windows in the Privacy Policy and DPA apply.
